while the game does not really need to be updated because the genre is old and not updated anymore. the game still seems to be a bit broken, especially when it comes to the career mode. it should be really easy to create a fantasy team for a new player, but in reality it is impossible. you cant seem to select players in the team and then drag them to positions. the process is just not fun, and theres no team specific trainer. other than that, the game is fun and a must buy.
my guess is that the contracts of all the tour players, including phil, allow for their name to be used in advertising, either on tv or in print. i think that the players could sell their image to pepsi, whether its their name or likeness, for a few million dollars. i doubt that a player would refuse to take that amount of money because its not like a fat contract that would be paid out over a long time. that is why i doubt any player would be afraid of taking a pay cut to appear in an ad. and he wouldnt care if it wasnt pga related. so, i think the amount of money that could be made by selling advertising would be more than enough to satisfy phil. so, he isnt worried about any legal action by the pga tour. he just does not want to accept any money that isnt going to the players. he does not want to be an instrument of change.
so, i agree with the fans that they should be allowed to boo if they want. i think that the tour would win more fans if they kept the booing. it certainly will keep the attention on the game. the booing is not really loud enough to be distracting. its also not really enough to get any player pissed off. but if one of the players gets booed, thats attention that will force him to step up his game. so, i dont think that booing is a bad thing. if the players are so scared of booing that they will not do anything, i think thats an embarrassment to them. i think that the players deserve to be booed because they are the ones who have a big mouth, not the fans. 3d9ccd7d82
